Facial masks are crucial when it comes to facial skin care. You only need a bit of free time for yourself and a good facial mask. Homemade masks are very effective and also very cheap. You can prepare natural masks of fruits, vegetables and herbs. Always start the procedure with face steaming because in that way your skin will receive all essentials nutrients from the mask. In a bowl of boiling water add tea made of chamomile, linden, rosemary, sage or thyme (a teaspoon of herb in 200 ml of water) and bend your face over the bowl. Cover your head with a towel so that the steam goes directly on your face. Steam your face for several minutes. Then, apply the mask on your face and relax in the most peaceful place of your home. Leave the mask on your skin for at least 15 minutes. Then, wash your face with distilled water, the tea you previously steamed your face with or use rose water.
Facial masks nourish and revitalize the skin. They boost the circulation, moisturize the skin and maintain the natural pH levels of the skin. Some masks fight wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. Use facial masks that are suitable for your skin type. Homemade facial masks should be prepared directly before using.
